“I have a problem with anxiety from different stresses in life, like many other people, and when younger was able to just push past these problems. A lifetime of being strong and dealing had left me feeling like I was drowning. I decided that there had to be a better way and Nancy advised me about Yoga Therapy. We discussed in detail exactly what I was feeling and the specifics of my anxiety, like not sleeping well and not being able to shut my brain down and relax. Although I am at an easier time in my life…retired, kids grown, good health, financially okay, my anxiety was getting worse and worse and I was withdrawing more and more. Nancy taught me specific exercises, breathing techniques and meditation which has enabled me to substantially reduce my anxiety. I feel that the breathing and meditation are absolutely key in this process. I can relax my body and brain and fall asleep and get a more restful sleep. I can prioritize and rationalize problems and they don’t get blown out of proportion and jumbled together. I practice this technique just about every day and am thankful that it just makes me feel lighter and more positive. I can’t thank Nancy enough for offering me this new path. Namaste!”
